How To Break in a Demarini Softball Bat
- 1). Set up a batting tee. Place a softball on it. Hit the ball softly, using only about one-fourth of your full power. Repeat the process about 30 times, changing the angle of the bat each time so every part of the bat's barrel will get contact.
- 2). Hit the ball again, this time utilizing about half of your full power. Repeat the process roughly 100 times, each time changing the angle of the bat so that every part of the barrel will get exposed to the balls.
- 3). Hit another 70 balls. This time, use your full strength. If possible, have a friend in the outfield to help collect the balls and bring them back. Once again, make sure to equally distribute the hits on various parts of the bat's barrel.
