How to Fix a Broken Drumstick

    • 1). Place the drumstick on a protected surface such as a workbench or plastic-covered table. Pull apart the crack or split in the drumstick very slightly.

    • 2). Pour superglue into the crack, using enough glue to spill outside the crack and onto the shaft of the stick.

    • 3). Knot the sewing thread around the stick, just below the start of the crack. Start winding the thread around the shaft of the drumstick, moving gradually up the stick until you have reached beyond the other side of the crack.

    • 4). Wind the thread back in the opposite direction, traveling from above the break to the knot below the break. Repeat this step as many times as necessary until you see a solid area of thread over the break, with no wood visible through the wound thread. The superglue will soak into the thread and make a strong, tight repair.

    • 5). Wait for the superglue to dry completely before using the fixed drumstick.
