Readers" Long Reviews of Products for Cats

106 34
The pet products industry is a multi-million dollar one, and it would be impossible for any one person to personally review every single product. That's where my readers step in. You can post your own long user review (LUR) on a number of different types of cat products, including cat foods, cat carriers, cat litter, and more.

The bottom line is that your reviews are every bit as important, if not more important than my own. Some are on general products, a few are for specific products. Read these reader-submitted LURs, then post your own.

Cats' Harnesses

Some cats enjoy going outdoors. They may do so safely with a well fitting cat harness and a person on the other end of the leash.

Read these reader reviews of cat harnesses, then publish your own review with the simple form provided. Harnesses may be of the classic "H-Shape,"walking jackets," or the Figure 8 variety, while some harnesses come with an attached leash. You may review more than one cat harness, but please post the reviews individually.More »

Dry Kitten Food

Please contribute your own review of a dry kitten food. Reviews of premium foods are encouraged. However, because of location, financial concerns, or other reasons, reviews of any dry kitten foods are acceptable. You may post as many different reviews as you wish, but only ONE food per review to avoid confusing other readers.

If you rotate foods, mention that, then please post separate reviews of the other foods. Did you try a food that your kittens wouldn't eat? Review it, please. The information you share, along with your star rating will help other readers in their decision toward purchasing that particular food.More »

Canned Kitten Food

Kittens need a premium canned food for the source of all the necessary nutrients needed to promote the development of strong bones and muscles, promote healthy teeth and gums, and to provide a source of protein and energy needed for the intense period of growth which occurs during the all-important first year.

Read other reviews of canned kitten foods, then post your own. The information you share, along with your star rating will help other readers in their decision toward purchasing that particular cat food.More »

Treats for Cats

Cat treats are wonderful as tools for giving cats medicine, for special applications, such as dental treats or hairball treats, for clicker-training, or for sprinkling on regular food to entice a sick cat to eat.

Please contribute your own review of a commercial cat treat. You may post as many different reviews as you wish, but only ONE cat treat per review to avoid confusing other readers. Did you try a treat that your cats wouldn't eat? Review it, please. The information you share, along with your star rating will help other readers in their decision toward purchasing that particular cat treat for their own cat.More »

Da Bird Interactive Cat Toy

Is your cat crazy about the da Bird interactive cat toy? Do you have to cut short your play sessions because s/he shows signs of tiring, then have to hide the toy from view? Or is your cat "ho-hum" about da Bird, preferring another toy?

Now you have the opportunity to write your own independent review to be published on this site with an easy fill-in-the blanks form. You may also upload up to two original photos; hopefully one will be of your cat playing with da Bird. Your review may make the difference between other readers' decision to buy or not buy this toy for cats.More »

Cat Litter Reviews

A main reason for cats' "out of the box" accidents is that they don't like the litter. Selection of cat litter depends on many factors including cost, safety, clumpability, scent, the dust factor, and its effect on the environment. But the bottom line is that if your cat won't use it, it isn't the right litter to buy. You are invited to write a review on your favorite brand of litter.

Please be specific as to brand and type within the brand, as many companies produce more than one type of litter. Also, your Long User Review is intended to help other readers make decisions, not for asking questions or requesting help.More »

Urine Odor & Stain Removers

The smell of cat urine is embarrassing to cat caregivers, and offensive to visitors. There is a wide variety of commercial cat urine odor and stain removal products. Many of these product act with enzymes, which eat odor-causing bacteria. Since their ease of use and results may widely vary, your reviews of these products may help other cat lovers in deciding which urine odor or stain removal product might be best for their cats.

Read the other reviews, then write your own review(s). Since many people try different products, you may review more than one, however please write a separate review for each product.More »

Drinking Fountain Review

Cats require a dependable source of fresh, cool water, especially in warmer climates, and most particularly if they eat only dry cat food. Automated drinking fountains for cats are an excellent way to provide these needs. There have been a number of drinking fountains introduced in the past several years. Since their consistent functioning and ease of use widely vary, your reviews of these products may help other cat lovers in deciding which fountain might be best for their cats. Please post your review using this form. Include the brand and model, since several companies have upgraded their models over the years.More »

Cats' Scratching Posts and Pad

Some cats prefer vertical posts for scratching; others enjoy flat or inclined surfaces. It is recommended to have several scratching surfaces available around the home, particularly for multi-cat households.

Read these reader reviews of scratching pads and surface, then publish your own review with the simple form provided. They may range from inexpensive cardboard scratchers, such as the Cosmic Cat Alpine Scratcher, to the curved Emery Cat Board scratcher, to a super-tall 32" vertical post, such as the Purrfect Post. You may review more than one scratcher, but please post the reviews individually.More »

Interactive Cat Toys

The 'da Bird' wand toy has been my cats' favorite for years, although the newer Neko Fly toys are hot on the heels of da Bird. Interactive toys for cats are not limited to wand toys. They could be of the soap bubble or laser light variety, or any other 'play-with-me' type of toy. Please review your cat's favorite interactive toy with this easy form. You may upload two photos of your cat. If possible, include one of the cat playing with the toy. In the text field, please consider these questions: Will your cat play with it endlessly? Does he drag it around? Or, does he quickly tire or become bored with it?More »

Play-Alone Cat Toys

Cats can live happy, active life indoors, if they are provided with means of exercise and brain stimulation. One way is giving them scratching posts and climbing towers. The other way is by providing play opportunities with games and cat toys. These are generally divided by interactive toys (Review Here), and play-alone toys, which you may review with a new form. You may also upload two photos of your cat.

You may review more than one specific toy, but please post a new review for each toy. Your review must name a specific product, and not just a generic name like "catnip mice."More »
