How to Make a Wheat Heating Pad
- 1). Use the scissors to cut the fabric into a square or rectangular shape. Fold the material in half with the front of the material inside, so that your fabric is inside-out.
- 2). Stitch the two longer sides closed, leaving the shorter, end side unstitched. Make sure you use a very small, close stitch or go over the stitching again so that the wheat won't fall through any small holes in the seam of the pillow.
- 3). Sew up all but a small spot of the last side, again making certain that the stitching won't allow any of the wheat to fall out.
- 4). Turn the fabric right side out by pulling it through the unstitched hole. Pull the corners out as well as you can.
- 5). Fill the heating with wheat through the remaining hole. Fill it so that it is full but not puffy like a pillow. Sew up the remaining hole. To use the heating pad, place it in the microwave and heat for one to two minutes.
