How to Make Designer T-Shirts
- 1). Make your own designs in a graphics program such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Paint Shop Pro or another program. Save the designs to CD or DVD and print them on special transfer paper. Alternately, bring your CD or DVD to a printing shop to have them do it.
- 2). Raise the lid of a heatpress and lay a plain t-shirt face-up on the base of the machine. Apply the heat transfer design you created or had a printing shop make for you by placing it facedown on the center of the shirt.
- 3). Set the temperature on the heatpress between 375 and 400 degrees. Lower the lid by the handle clamp and let the machine work on applying the design onto the T-shirt. It will take approximately nine seconds to do this and will buzz to alert you that the procedure is finished.
- 4). Raise the lid of the heatpress. Peel the design transfer paper off of the T-shirt, remove the shirt from the machine and examine it.
