How to Draw Anime in Lightning Photoshop
- 1). Use a pen and draw an anime picture on a piece of white paper. Scan the paper to your computer and save. Choose a name for your anime file that will be easy to locate.
- 2). Open Photoshop and go to "File" "Open" and select your scanned image.
- 3). Go to "Image" "Adjustments" and choose "Levels" to increase the outline contrast with the background. This will make the image easier to see and enhance.
- 4). Double click on "Background Layer" and select "OK" from the pop-up window to unlock the layer. Choose "Image" "Mode" and "Multiply" to make the background transparent.
- 5). Go to "Window" "Channels" and select the dotted circle at the bottom of the channels palette. Press delete to lose the white background.
- 6). Go to "Window" "Layers" and choose new layer. Fill the background layer with white from the swatches panel. Change the white background to transparent by selecting "Multiply" under image mode.
- 7). Add a base layer beneath the white layer. Select the Magic Wand tool from the tool bar. Choose a tolerance of 50 from the option box and select "Contiguous and Sample All Layers options."
- 8). Select Paint Bucket from the toolbar and choose a color from the Swatches panel. Place the cursor over an area and click to add color.
- 9). Add a layer for the lightning. Use the Brush tool from the tool bar to draw vertical and horizontal zigzags. Choose "Filter" "Stylize" "Wind" and choose a direction of the wind.

Select the Dodge and Burn tool from the tool bar to make the lightning thicker and give more dimension. - 11
Add another layer and select the Brush tool from the tool bar and choose a color from the Swatches panel to highlight the lightning.
