How to Connect Using VNC

    • 1). Go to "Start" and then "Programs." Click on "Internet" and "VNC" to launch the VNC software you have installed.

    • 2). Click your "New Session" button at the upper part of your VNC software window.

    • 3). Create a title for your connection. Think of a name that's easy to remember for the title to help you locate the connection each time you launch your VNC software. Then, type "ssh2"for protocol and type the name of your host computer or the machine to which you plan to connect. Type "22" for your port.

    • 4). Click on "Connect." Enter your log-on data. If you do not know this information, consult your system administrator.

    • 5). Move your computer mouse left and right to check that your connection works correctly. Look at your desktop in the terminal window. This enables you to see the computer on a remote basis. Note that you now have the capability to set up this remote machine via the terminal window.
