    • 1). Put on work gloves. Put the rod on the bottom of the buffing wheel into the socket at the end of the power buffing tool. Lock the socket with the wrench tool included with the power buffing tool.

    • 2). Press the trigger on the power buffing tool to start the wheel spinning. Apply tallow compound to the center of the buffing wheel for a few seconds so that the wheel is coated. Release the trigger.

    • 3). Apply a line of buffing compound across the center of the buffing wheel. Apply a line of buffing compound above and below the line.

    • 4). Hold the acrylic plastic in one hand, with the edge that is to be polished facing up. Press the trigger on the power buffing tool. Place the buffing wheel against one side of the acrylic's edge.

    • 5). Press down firmly as you drag the buffing wheel along the length of the edge to the other side. Reverse direction upon reaching the other side and return to where you first began. Repeat this procedure an additional two times before removing the buffing wheel from the acrylic.

    • 6). Blow off the loose acrylic dust from the piece of acrylic. Inspect the edge to see if it is now smooth. If the edge needs further polishing, repeat the procedure with the buffing wheel, after first applying buffing compound.
