How to Remove Barbeque Sauce Stains From Clothes
- 1). Place the article of clothing with the back of the stain under cold water. This will help to force the barbecue stain back out of the fabric.
- 2). Cover the stain with a mild detergent and blot at it with your finger. Do not rub; this can cause the stain to go deeper into the fabric. You are not trying to remove anything at this point; you are softly forcing the detergent into the fabric to fight the barbecue sauce.
- 3). Rinse the area thoroughly.
- 4). Verify the stain has been removed. If it has not fully been removed then use an appropriate stain removing product according to its directions.
- 5). Launder the garment as usual. Do not place into the dryer. The heat of the dryer can make the stain permanent. Verify the stain is indeed removed. If it is not, then try the stain remover product again, and launder as usual.
