    Lettered Easter Egg Place Holders

    • Buy enough eggs so that there is one egg for each person you are expecting to dinner. Color the Easter eggs. Most people use a kit that you can buy at the store for a couple dollars. Allow the eggs time to dry.

Write down the names of everyone you are expecting for dinner. Go to a craft or scrapbooking store and look through their sticker section. Find and buy individual capital letter stickers so you have the first letter of each guest's name. For example, if your guest list includes a Kathy, Barb, Matt, Ray and Lisa, you will need capital K,B,M,R and L stickers.

Attach one sticker to each of the eggs you decorated, and place one egg at each place setting. If you want certain people to sit in specific seats, use the eggs as place holders.

    Easter Egg Garland

    • Buy several packages of plastic colored Easter eggs and ribbon. Measure out the length of ribbon you will need for the area you want to string the garland. Cut the ribbon to size and lay it out on a flat surface.

Separate all the plastic Easter eggs so that they are each in two pieces. Take the two halves of one egg and hold them on either side of the ribbon. Snap the two pieces back together with the ribbon stuck between them. The egg should hold itself together on the ribbon. Attach the rest of the eggs to the ribbon in the same fashion. Space out the eggs as far as you want. If you are not sure, put the eggs on the ribbon spread out, and see how it looks. If you don't like it, you can just go back and add another egg in between each egg you already put on the ribbon.

    Carnation Center Piece

    • Find or buy a round glass bowl that is shallow and has a wide opening. Take several white carnations and cut the stems so they are 3 to 4 inches long. Pour water into the bowl so that the bottom is covered. Place the carnations into the bowl so that the blossoms are facing out around the edge of the bowl and the stems are facing in. You want to use enough carnations to fill the rim of the bowl with flowers.

In the center of the bowl, place all your colored Easter eggs so they are resting on top of the flowers stems. This will keep the eggs slightly raised and out of the water. When you are done, it should look like the eggs are resting in a bird's nest made out of flowers.
