  Baskets are a thoughtful way to give someone various items in one gift. Baskets can be made with food, tools, fashion accessories and toys, or any other items that will be enjoyed by the receiver. Depending on the gift or theme of the basket, the gift giver can wrap the basket with fabrics, recycled newspaper or wax paper to give the gift a more personal touch.
  
  

Wax Paper Wrapping Idea

• Use wax paper to wrap gift baskets that contain baked goods or baking tools. Items can be placed inside of a ceramic bowl, which would be filled to the top. Once the bowl is filled, cut two large 10 to 12-inch sheets of the wax paper and wrap it around the bowl. Use a ribbon to tie the top of the wax paper to enclose the contents of the basket. A wood spoon or cookie cutter can be tied within the bow, accompanied by a note, to add a personal touch. Holes or shapes can also be punched at the top of the wax paper using a hole puncher to add an artistic flair to the wrapping.
  
  

Newspaper Comic Wrapping Idea

• Newspaper comics are enjoyed by both children and adults. However, newspaper comics do not only have to be enjoyed by reading the newspaper, as they can be used to wrap baskets. Baskets that are given to small children, such as those for Easter or Christmas, can contain toys, crayons and coloring books. Instead of using cellophane wrapping, place two or three sheets of newspaper comics around the basket. Cut and wrap a 12-inch piece of twine around the top to close the wrapping. Once the receiver removes the newspaper comic wrapping, they can read the comics and have a good laugh.
  
  

Scarf Wrapping Ideas

• Baskets created with clothing and fashion accessories for women and teen girls can be wrapped using one or two sheer scarves. Place cosmetics, hair accessories, fashion jewelry and clothing inside of a basket or decorative photo box, such as those found in a craft store. Once the contents have been placed inside or the basket or box, wrap a printed scarf made of cotton, silk or satin around the container. Use a ribbon, colorful hair tie or necklace to tie the tip of the scarf wrapping. Bangles or beaded necklaces can then be added over the tie to dress up the top of the basket, giving it a feminine touch.
