There Will Be Food Shortages in the Future - Are You Sure Sherlock?

Not long ago, I had a global warming alarmist say to me that due to Global Climate Change there will be food shortages in the future.
And of course, you've probably been reading in the news about some of the food shortages already here, challenges with droughts, flooding, etc, and the costs of corn, wheat, fish, and other foods.
Yes, it's an issue, but really there are always natural disasters and droughts come and go, and so too does El Nino, La Nina, Monsoon season, locust plagues, tropical storm seasons and wildfires.
There are challenges with mismanagement of human populations, ocean over fishing, livestock, fresh water supplies, industrial pollution, transportation, labor supply, and human conflict which exacerbate, so there will always be some sort of food shortage somewhere in the world, you can count on that, and we should expect it.
Thus, it hardly makes sense to blame that on climate change or mankind's emissions of CO2, and to do so is quite disingenuous.
Previously, human populations have blamed natural disasters and scarcity of food on their God or Gods, and today, it seems we are blaming it on ourselves - global warming theory.
Does that mean we've traded scripture and past religions for a new sort of "environmental-activist style religion" of some type? Is this some type of an attempt to get everyone on the same page and control their minds? Are we scaring people, making them fear scarcity of food, notions of apocalypse, and a crispy Earth barren of food now? Okay so, I told my global warming acquaintance that I didn't buy into his doom and gloom scenario warning of Food Shortages.
And then explained to him that; "Really, you mean something that has been going on since humans evolved from tree shrews?" You see, there will be shortages of food, seasonality being the most common reason.
And, there have been shortages, there are currently food shortages, and I suspect there always will be.
That's just another fact of life on Earth, but most of the biggest shortages of food today are man-made through manipulation of commodity markets, or unintended consequences of decision makers listening to bad advice.
Further, I would suggest that we are not in the United States safe from these shortages or scarcity either.
Additionally, I'd say that; you just wait as the socialists and communists gain more traction in the world, they'll cause more food shortages than ever.
Yes, there will be more shortages, but global warming will cause more abundance of plant-life, not less over all.
So, let's not blame shortages of food on that.
Please consider all this and think on it.
