A magician should do more at your event than just tricks.
A magic show is not about 'The Show' or 'The Tricks' the magic starts when the magician is able to captivate the audience and interact with them.
That is, with their thoughts, feelings, what the see, what the hear, the internal conversations they have etc.
Magicians are as wide and varied as people on planet earth and that is awesome because it gives people a choice in their entertainment.
We have comedy magicians, close up magicians, stage magicians, magicians who work with big boxes and Vegas styled show girls - you name it.
Tip one is: "What type of magician do you want at your event? Do you want some one to walk around and go from guest to guest and do a few small tricks on a personal level? Do you want someone funny, with non stop comedy? Do you want a magician that works with children daily? Once you have answered these questions, you have a good idea what you want and are one step closer to finding the perfect magician for your event.
Tip Two is: "What type of venue do you have? Where is this event going to take place? How much space do you have? Do you need a sound system? Would a sound system be over kill? Etc.
Here you might have to talk the venue or if it is held in your living room or place of business you are okay - so it all depends.
The thing is, every venue and entertainer is different.
So select one that matches your needs.
If you have a small amount of room - not all entertainers can adapt to that - most can however.
Which brings us to tip number three.
Tip Three - Talk with the entertainer and see what they suggest that you agree with.
Suggestions from an entertainer are just that suggestions.
Find what works for you as a client and see if the entertainer can work with in what you need or make a suggestion as to how to make it work.
Keep these tips and not the tricks in mind when looking for entertainment.
