Closet Organization Tips
There are several reasons to have a clean closet as it is easier to find "things" and deep down inside, it makes you feel organized and in control.
Walking or looking into a closet that is in shambles really does nothing to help you start the day off in a positive way.
So what has to be done to accomplish this feeling of control? Well, think about it - if you haven't worn something in 5 years, give it away, or throw it out.
It really is practical to say if you haven't worn or used it in 2 years, you don't really need it.
The hard part, of course, is looking at that suit you paid top dollar for, or that pair of shoes that you still love but can't wear anymore because you feet are fatter, or you have no place to wear them, and actually getting rid of them.
Spending a couple hours and weeding through your clothes and shoes you no longer need or use can also be very beneficial to others.
There are so many thrift stores who will gladly take your items, or you may know a neighbor or someone from church that is going through hard times and can use some of your clothes.
After you have discarded your unwanted clothing, it is time to organize the closet.
A good way to do so is to keep outfits together, maybe even keep them according to the season.
In the middle of winter you won't be looking for summer stuff though, so why keep it right in front of you? If you don't have extra closet space, take the summer items and put them in under the bed box until its time to use them again.
If you are a very busy person, line up your daily wardrobe in your closet so each morning the outfit you need for work is ready.
This is also a good time saver.
Following some or all of these things will help to actually make your life seem simple and easier.
You may feel better for helping others too.
