    • 1). Insert the USB cable into the bottom of the Samson G-Track. Insert the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your computer. Make sure both ends of the cable sit securely in their jacks. A loose connection can lead to static or pops in a recording.

    • 2). Click the "Start" button and then select "Control Panel." Choose the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. Click the "Audio" tab in the new window. Click the sound recording "Default Device" drop-down bar and select "USB Audio Codec."

    • 3). Open Adobe SoundBooth on your computer. Click the "File" menu and then select "Record."

Click the "Device" menu and then select the Samson G-Track from the list of recording devices. Click the "Sample Rate" drop-down bar and select a sampling rate for your recording. The higher the sample rate, the better the quality of the recording.

    • 4). Choose Stereo or Mono for your microphone recording. Type a filename for the recording. Click the browse button and select a destination folder for the audio file.

    • 5). Click the red recording button to start recording with the microphone. Click the "stop" button to end the recording.
