How to Gather Up Oak Leaves
- 1). Connect your leaf blower to a power source. Use a moisture-proof extension cord if necessary.
- 2). Walk your yard's perimeter and blow the leaves toward the center of the lawn. Aim the blower down at the leaves and use a straight back-and-forth motion for best results.
- 3). Rake the leaves into a large pile in the center of your lawn using long, smooth passes.
- 4). Place the oak leaves into a proper receptacle, such as a your city's green-waste can or a heavy-duty plastic bag.
- 5). Collect any remaining leaves, sticks or other yard debris with a smaller rake as the pile thins. Repeat until all leaves have been gathered.
