If You Forget Your Password on Your iPod Touch How Do You Reset It?
- 1). Download iTunes, if necessary, or update your iTunes to the latest version (see Resources). Launch iTunes.
- 2). Connect the iPod Touch to the computer, using the included cable. When the computer recognizes the device, click "iPod Touch," which appears under "Devices" in iTunes.
- 3). Click on the "Summary" tab, then click "Restore." A back-up prompt appears. Click "Back Up." If you don't do this, all information on the device will be lost when you restore.
- 4). Click "Restore." When the process is complete, click "OK." In iTunes, click on the "Restore from the backup of" button. In the drop-down menu, click "iPod Touch." Click "Continue," and wait for your content to transfer to the device.
- 5). Remove the Touch from your computer. Tap "Settings," "General" and "Passcode Lock." Enter a new four-digit password.
