How to Overclock a Radeon 9550
- 1). Download and install RivaTuner. A link to the download location is provided in Resources.
- 2). Launch RivaTuner and allow it to automatically build a hardware database of the currently installed devices within your system.
- 3). Click the "Customize" button under the "Drivers" label in the lower portion of the program window to present a sub-menu.
- 4). Click the icon that looks like a graphics card from the resulting sub-menu.
- 5). Check the "Enable Drive-Level Hardware Overclocking" radio button to enable overclocking.
- 6). Adjust the "Core Clock" and "Memory Clock" sliders to change their respective clock frequencies. It is best that you only change each clock by 5 to 10 Mhz at a time to ensure system stability.
- 7). Click the "OK" button after changing the clock frequencies to set the overclock in place.
- 8). Reboot the system to make the clock setting changes take effect.
