How to Upgrade iPod Apps
- 1). Open iTunes and click "iTunes" in the top left corner of the screen. Click "Check for Updates" to ensure you have the latest software for your iPod touch. The updates for the standard apps such as the calendar and the notepad are bundled with the iPod's general software; they don't update separately like downloaded apps. If you do need an update, download it and sync your iPod.
- 2). Go to the home screen of your iPod and tap the "App Store" icon.
- 3). Tap "Updates" in the bottom left corner. A list of apps with available updates appears.
- 4). Tap the app that you want to update, or press "Update All." Progress bars appear on the updating apps. If you choose not to update now, a red circle with the number of updates available will appear on the upper right corner of the App Store icon as a reminder.
- 5). Wait for the progress bar to disappear before opening the updated app.
