- 1). Turn the phone off by pressing and holding the "End Call" button. Remove the battery cover. Remove the battery from the phone. Leave the battery out for one minute. Replace the battery and the battery cover. Turn the phone back on by pressing and holding the "End Call" button. This process soft resets the phone to gain a new connection to the network and fixes most issues.
- 2). Turn on and off the data connection by clicking "Start" on the phone. Select "Settings" and click "More." Click "Connections" and choose "More." Click "Wireless Manager" and choose "Phone." Click the "Menu" button and click "Disconnect Cellular Data." Wait for 30 seconds and click "Connect Cellular Data" to re-establish a data connection.
- 3). Clean the battery contacts to remove debris. Turn the phone off, and remove the battery cover. Remove the battery, and locate the metal on the phone where the battery goes. Wipe the metal contacts clean with your finger. Wipe the metal contacts on the bottom of the battery with your finger. Replace the battery in the phone. Replace the battery door. Turn the phone back on.
