How to Do Fancy Gift Wrap
- 1). Place your baked goods or confections on a decorative charger. A charger is a round, shallow platter favored by many who want to showcase their concoctions with a touch of flair. The charger can be purchased inexpensively at most chain craft stores. It can be made of glass, pewter, or even plastic. After you have arranged your treats pyramid style on the plate, set it on a piece of clear cellophane wrap large enough to cover the sides of the charger, and gather at the top. Tie the wrap above the plate with a rubber band. The cellophane will keep your food fresh. Set the plate onto a square of sheer polyester or nylon fabric with a slight shimmer. Fasten this covering in place with a rubber band as well. Cover the rubber band with gold ribbon, and attach a small gift tag to the ribbon with a pin.
- 2). Wrap wine or spirits in colored tissue paper. Fasten the tissue paper at the top of the bottle with a rubber band. Wrap cellophane over the top of the tissue paper, and tie it at the top with a ponytail holder adorned with decorative flowers or large colorful balls.

Wrap chocolates individually to create a special gift presentation.chocolates image by cherie from Fotolia.com
Wrap individual candies or chocolates in gold foil. This wrapping is a tedious process, but it takes an ordinary box of chocolates or candy and makes the presentation much fancier. Wrap the candies in individual foils, and then twist the ends on either side. Secure with small rubber bands. When you have finished, gather all the chocolates in tulle or colored cellophane, applying the same twisting technique you used for each individual piece. Tie bows on each end of the larger package with silver elastic string. - 1). Wrap your boxed treats in plain white tissue paper. Pull the tissue paper taut, and secure it with clear tape. Set the gift aside. Color the backs of black-and-white photocopies or images printed on your computer with a special white marker (available at craft stores) that causes a chemical reaction in the paper and transfers an inverted image onto the package. Repeat this process until you have sufficiently covered the box in classic black-and-white photos. This gift wrap needs no embellishment or bows.
- 2). Wrap your box in black tissue paper. Crinkle a small square of pink tulle, and then place it on the top center of the box. Crinkle a second piece that is about 1/2 inch smaller, and position it in the center of the first square. Repeat this until you have about five layers of crinkled tulle. Place a gold or silver brooch in the center to finish this stylized bow. This design also works well with circles of tulle. Choose different colors for different seasons or holidays.
