In the Middle of Opposing Forces - Active Meditation

One question that might arise concerning the concept of Active Meditation is; How can you advocate the idea of sitting quietly, attempting to find your center which would seem to be a state of being inactive and yet still call this active? There are only two things in the Universe that don't move, the Infinite and the Observer.
But, even these aspects of existence are not actually dormant because if they were there would truly be an absolute nothingness.
Thus, as it says in the Gita, it is not really possible to sit and do nothing, nor should you endeavor to do so for a sustained period because if you were successful at reaching the ultimate goal of doing nothing you would cease to exist.
One of the primary goals of Active Meditation is to simply switch your awareness from the motion of the physical, to that of the motion of the higher forms.
When you watch a wheel revolve, you will notice that the speed of the rotation where the tread meets the ground (the physical plane) appears to be much faster than the speed of rotation at the hub of the wheel.
Thus, by moving your attention towards the hub you will find that your physical activity will slow down but it is impossible to actually "stop" the motion completely.
As you move closer and closer to the hub of the wheel, you will actually become aware of the sensation that time is slowing down.
At the very center of the wheel it seems to come to a complete stop.
You may come to be aware of the nature of time as it is relative to the density of matter and spirit.
The effect of this situation becomes very apparent when you are in the presence of greater beings like Mary, Jesus or the Father.
In the state of ecstasy time appears to come to a complete stop.
To put this phenomenon in the context of physics, as you slow down the denser motion of the physical form through meditation, chanting or the like, mass becomes less and the Creative energy is increased.
As you begin to move closer to the source of the Creative energy at the center of the wheel you will become "lighter" in every way - you will start to lose body weight.
You will find that you cannot digest denser foods like meat and your desire for physical sustenance will decrease.
This is all an aspect of lifting your physical form into harmony with your spiritual form.
However, attaining to this state is not done through passivity.
You must exert some kind of energy (your Will) against the denser forces of motion - and this is the foundation of the idea of dealing with the opposing forces of Creation and Dissipation.
