      Paper Bowls

The first day open your can and put 2-3 tablespoons of cat food into the paper bowl. Put the remaining cat food into the storage container and then set the storage container into a stack of 7-10 bowls. This way you don't have to go get the paper bowls every time you need them as they are stacked under the container.

The next day, take your cat food out of the refrigerator and scoop out 2-3 tablespoons into the paper bowl. After a couple of days you will know exactly how much your cat is eating. If there is nothing left add another tablespoon or if there is left overs use one less tablespoon. Add or subtract a 1/2 a tablespoon until you get it exactly right.

      Cat eating

Usually my cat wants to eat it while I am trying to get it out of the bowl and some cats don't mind that the food is cold. But, if your cat does, then put it in the microwave for a few seconds literally and it will warm up the food. This is another benefit to putting the food into the clean paper bowl instead of your cats regular food dish. Take out of the microwave and stir the food up and make sure it is not too hot and serve to your cat. Cats don't want their food hot, they just want it room temperature. Another way to do it is to put it into the paper bowl and then set aside, like on top of your refrigerator for about 20 minutes and then stir it around and give to your cat.

You should be able to get about 3 to 4 meals out of one 5 1/2 ounce can of cat food. Completely eliminating waste and saving you money. Instead of going through a 1/2 can to whole can a day, you will be using a 1/4 to a 1/3 can a day. 10 cans of cat food will last me over a month by using this system.
