Humility - The State of Accepting True Reality

103 33
Humility is not something we strive to achieve or become.
It is, in fact, our condition.
When we consider how profound and wonderful we are in terms of the truly great things we should be doing nothing we accomplish, no acclaim or achievement, no credentials or positions we attain, gets close to the greatness of who we already are.
Nothing we do in this life compares to what we are in eternity and when we come to know that about ourselves we are humbled.
In fact, when we come to such a realization, we will be embarrassed at the pettiness of our so called accomplishments, for what we see as reality pales, in comparison, to what we really are capable of.
Our minds, our intellect, have convinced us that what we see through our sensory awareness is really big and important.
If only we could see beyond what is directly in front of us.
Our greatness far and away exceeds anything our minds can conjure and therein lies our only limitations.
Our mind, that sees only the reality that confronts us every day is the only thing that limits our range of possibilities.
That range of possibility would humble us if we could begin to comprehend it.
Let it suffice to say that in this journey we call life what we consider important is insignificant compared to our true natures.
We are divine! When we look at our greatness, that is, our infinite greatness, compared to anything we consider important in this reality our natural state is one of humility.
Don't take anything you think you are or have accomplished to seriously and don't get caught up in your own importance.
Truth is you are so much greater than all of it.
We are not what we think we are.
We are what we "don't" think we are and more.
So very much more!
