How to Add a Phone Number to the End of an Email in Microsoft Outlook
- 1). Create a signature with a phone number by adding it to Mail Format options in Outlook. Open Outlook and select "Tools" on the menu bar. Select "Options" from the Tools menu. Click on the "Mail Format" tab and select "Signatures." The "Signature and Stationery" window appears.
- 2). Add a new signature by selecting the "New" button. When the "New Signature" window opens, type the name of your signature in the "Type a name for this signature" field. Click "OK." Add your signature in the "Edit Signature" field. Add your phone number and any other information you want in this field.
- 3). Adjust the Choose default signature section for the "New Messages" and "Replies/Forwards." Change the drop-down list for these two options. Decide to either use no signature or your newly created signature for these two options.
- 4). Save your signature by clicking "OK" two times. Now when you compose new emails, your signature with your phone number will appear at the end of the signature. Remember to compose your email above the signature and not below it.
