Jobs We Take for Granted
America is full of variety. Not only are the people diverse, but so are the jobs and skill sets. But among these diverse jobs, there are those that play a vital role in our society and community but do not get the respect that they deserve. But the majority seems to forget how important these roles are for our economy and society. Here is a short list of the jobs that are taken most for granted.
· Teachers: With all the dedication and hard work they put into teaching our children, they should definitely be paid more. They have to put up with ill-behaved children for eight hours a day—sometimes more. They inspire, comfort, teach, share, and love. And yet, society doesn't treat them the best. They deserve a lot more respect than what they are currently receiving.
· Janitorial: Those that clean after the rest of us have to take on the role of our mothers because we don't clean up after ourselves. And those that are in the profession are usually looked down upon from the rest of us—like they are on the bottom of society's totem pole.
· Truck Drivers: Without their services, America would not be what it is today. Almost everything that can be bought in a store has been shipped by way of truck. Without CDL driver jobs, we would not have access to the many products currently available.
· Parents: Let's face it, parenting is hard work. But parents get a bad rap sometimes. It takes a constant vigilance and dedication to raise decent children who respect their surroundings and other people.
