Accommodations for Students Taking College Board Tests
Although most school districts and postsecondary schools across the United States must abide by one or both of the following laws - Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of a disability; the responsibilities of post secondary schools in regards to students with disabilities is often quite different than it is for elementary and secondary school districts.
Students looking to go to college should review these laws thoroughly prior to applying to college to assist them in making the most informed decisions that could affect them academically and in providing accommodation for their disability.
