    • 1). Push the Home button on the iPod Touch, and swipe your finger against the lock bar on the screen to unlock the device.

    • 2). Select the Settings button on the screen, and select the "Wi-FI" on the screen. Slide your finger over the switch on the Wi-Fi bar to activate the iPod Touch's Wi-Fi signal search.

    • 3). Select an open network from the network list to connect to it. An open network will display only the name of the network, whereas a closed network has a lock icon next to it and requires a password. Type the network's password into the pop-up box if a password is needed, and tap the blue "Join" button at the bottom of the screen to connect.

    • 4). Press the Home button to return the iPod Touch's home menu, and tap the "iTunes" or "App Store" button on the screen to access the application.

    • 5). Scroll down to the bottom of the iTunes Store or App Store screen, and tap the "Sign In" button. Tap "Use Existing Account," type your iTunes account ID email address and password. Tap "OK" to log in to your iTunes account.

    • 6). Tap the application or song icon on the screen to view it, and tap the "Purchase" button on the screen to buy the track or application. The purchase button will change to "Buy Now," which will display a pop-up menu when it is tapped again.

    • 7). Enter your iTunes password, and select the "OK" button to buy the song or application.
