The whole world today has been inundated with the unpremeditated calls for the liberation of the entire women from the so-called domination by their male counterparts.
Women felt that it is high time they take a control of leadership in all spheres of life.
But many critics see these struggles for women liberation as virtually a trivial issue, and these views in part are as a result of some unethical behaviours of some women, considering the religious, cultural and social points of view of a woman's position in the society.
Though, these behaviours have made the generality of men, to look at women as only a symbol of sex.
Women have allowed themselves to be used as objects of entertainment.
It is rather very unfortunate that majority of our educated women in an attempt to make quick money and gain recognition, engage themselves in an all-time evil events that make mockery of womanhood.
Some of these events are accorded national recognitions, so much so that women are no longer ashamed of parading themselves naked, and gyrating in the presence of ogling eyes, majority of whom, are men.
The society today experiences a lot programmes that are solely organized to encourage immoral activities and behaviours simply for the joy and pleasure of it.
However, in order to make the evil influences of such activities, some men have cashed in on the global economic recession to pump their ill-gotten wealth into such ugly projects so as to promote more evil in the society.
This is sad as it is pathetic.
There are so many practices that are alien to our decent culture and tradition, which are being celebrated all over the place, without considering the bad implication they will have on our generation.
This goes on to tell us that why most advocates of women liberation want our women folks to become "modernized", as they make us believe, especially the young ladies who are the future leaders of women liberation struggle, has not been clearly spelt out.
For all we care, the "modernized" woman could be seen as a woman that exists but never lives, a woman without any identity, who is chained to the dictates of the society - a woman that will never be real because she does not know how a real person is made.
A "modernized" woman, during childhood has been robbed of her natural rights.
At this stage of mental and physical development, the "modernized" woman has also been mentally and corruptly misled into believing that, only the sexually appealing; the beautiful and popular ones are the successful women in life.
Modernity has it that a woman must have these qualities in order to succeed.
As a result of this misconception, she ends up transforming her innocent beauty and birthright of a mother into irrevocably destroyed life.
Destroyed life, because of their overuse of the modern day provocative and exploitative dressings, coupled with the unnecessary cosmetic appearances, which definitely replace their moral values with empty and immoral ones.
At this juncture, it is pertinent to put forward the confusion that always entangles our womenfolk, especially the young ladies.
This confusion lies in the pleasure they derive in drinking alcohol, smoking, adultery, false pride, immodesty and the desire for ill gotten wealth.
How can a woman who in one moment drinks, roams the street half-naked, and dates several men, claim equality with the same man or assume leadership over him, who some moments ago was on top of everything they shared or did together? These so-called women liberators should bury their heads in shame, for forgetting that we are Africans, and that in the African tradition, a woman is given her own share of rights and freedom and as well, seen as a symbol of purity; a mother of the society, and the hope of the future generation.
The advocates of women liberation however, contrary to what an ideal African woman should be, are slowly eroding and changing the behavioural pattern of the African woman, turning them into rebels against the cherished norms and values of African society for their selfish ends.
Today, the roles of women in a decent and ideal society are fast changing in the negative direction.
Women, in order to substantiate their demands for clear-cut equality with the men are engaging in so many duties that are by nature manly.
Faced with the fear of losing grips on their leadership position, the men today are trying their hands in so many things, no matter how degrading, to prove their claim of being the head.
Our society is today experiencing the worst form of confusion, and with time anarchy will set in.
Experience has taught us that having two captains in a boat, who at the same time, are engaged in performing tasks individually, is a clear sign of an imminent disaster.
Our generation is truly sitting on a keg of gun powder! In creation, God was not silent about the position of a woman in relation to her male counterpart.
Women are individuals with some excellent capabilities of realizing the futility of materialistic values, who can perceive spiritual and moral principles and incorporates all these values and principles into their lives.
The Bible tells us that in the fall of man, through disobedience, it was the woman who was deceived, not the man, thus portraying herself as someone who needs a leader over her to help her hold a stronger resolve in her position about things.
God's affirmation to this was shown is His command to the woman: "Thy desire shall be thy husband's and he shall rule over thee".
It is very important that our so-called women liberators go back to the drawing board and put their acts together, by first of all finding a better way of restoring the dignity of motherhood, rather than asking for unearned positions.
This is very important because if they find it impossible to restore that dignity, men will continue to look at them as people with a very low sensibility.
However, if the claims of these groups of people are true, activities and exploits of women should not have been recorded in history.
Today, we still hear about the excellent performances and contributions of so many women of great valor, who could not sell their consciences to amassing material wealth.
They are at best, women liberators with a difference.
Rather than being too materialistic, and a poor imitation of woman, they went for the best as nobody wants anything but the genuine and the best!
