Like most people you were probably taught a healthy diet is one that is high in complex carbohydrates and low in fat.
But this combination of food intake actually is not possible.
When you eat carbohydrates, only a limited amount of the food transforms into glycogen and gets stored in the liver.
The remaining carbohydrates transform into saturated fat and gets stored in the body as fat.
So, this type of diet actually results in higher levels of fat becoming a burden on the body and higher levels of insulin taxing the blood.
Of the three major macronutrient food elements - fats, proteins, and carbohydrates - carbohydrates are the food element that increases insulin in the body.
Fat, oils, and the right amount proteins however, slow down the insulin rise, so we must consider fat as a nutrient that actually is healthy for the body.
For example, a vegetable sautéed in coconut oil is a tasty food that does not tax the liver or gall bladder.
Broth soups containing proteins, fats, and a few carbohydrates help bring harmony and stimulation to the digestive system.

Adzuki beans, like many other beans, are a good source of non-animal protein, so they are great for helping decrease the level of insulin in the blood.
Additionally, beans - more specifically the darker beans - are rich in disease-fighting antioxidants.
In addition to beans, other foods high in phytonutrients are berries - such as blueberries - cranberries, strawberries, apples, plums and cherries.
These fruits should be eaten in their natural state or freshly juiced, as bottled and canned juices are not healthy choices.
The goal of this type of healthy eating is to decrease the chances of getting chronic and terminal illnesses by managing the amount of insulin in the blood stream.
