How to Remove Ink From an LCD
- 1). Turn off the electronic device for safety purposes. Also, allowing the screen to cool down will prevent the cleaning solutions from causing streaks on the screen.
- 2). Rub the screen with a microfiber cloth to remove dust and dirt particles. Failure to remove dust and dirt first can cause smudges to form on the screen.
- 3). Pour 1/2 cup of isopropyl rubbing alcohol into a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of distilled water to the isopropyl rubbing alcohol.
- 4). Dampen a clean cotton cloth in the solution. Do not use paper towels, sponges, shop towels or tissue paper on the LCD screen; the screen may become scratched and damaged.
- 5). Rub the cotton cloth lightly over the ink marks on the screen. Do not apply much pressure to the screen, as the screen may become damaged.
- 6). Wipe the screen with another clean cotton cloth to remove excess moisture from the screen. Allow the screen to thoroughly dry before turning on the device.
