How to Crochet Basic Potholders
- 1). Chain 21 stitches with the main color. Single crochet from the second crochet all the way across. Make a turning chain. Turn and single crochet in each stitch all the way across--20 stitches.
- 2). Make a turning chain, turn and single crochet in all 20 stitches across. Repeat until you have a square of crocheted material.
- 3). Tie off and cut the yarn. With the contrasting color, make a slip knot at one corner. Single crochet in every stitch or row all the way around, making three stitches in every corner.
- 4). Chain ten at the final corner. Slip stitch into first border stitch to create a loop for hanging. Tie off and cut.
