Thank You Card Stamping Idea
- Purchase a variety of rubber craft stamps that include ones with the words "Thank You" as well as individual letters in different styles and sizes at stores such as One Stop Square (see Resources). Other rubber stamps can be images to accompany stamped words such as bouquets of flowers. You'll also need a number of ink pad colors, embossing mediums and an embossing gun to create raised and decorative words. Have light-colored stock card sheets as well as decorative, textured and printed papers to make the thank you cards. Supplies can include a paper cutter, plain and fancy scissors, glue sticks and double-sided tape, markers, hot glue gun and glue sticks.
- Cut card stock sheets to 10 inches by 7 inches, then fold in half to create a basic 5-inch by 7-inch card (to fit an A-7 envelope). Choose the stamps desired to stamp "Thank You" and choose the color of ink pads to use. Stamp on contrasting colors of card stock, then cut them out with fancy scissors to create a decorative edge. Stack the stamped words on decorative or textured paper that is cut larger than the words but smaller than the card. Attach them all with glue or double-sided tape. Enhance the cards with embellishments using a hot glue gun.
- Keep a craft box handy to collect papers and decorative items that can be used to create cards for any occasion. Shop craft stores for discounted supplies after a holiday or event when they're on clearance. Decorative papers in expired wallpaper sample books are available for free at home decorator stores. Small party favors can also be used to decorate cards.
