    • 1). Sweep the laminate tiles with a dry dust mop or vacuum to remove regular buildup such as dust and animal hair for regular cleanups where scrubbing the floor is not necessary. If you use a vacuum, make sure to use the setting for wood floors or linoleum. This lowers the bristles on the vacuum and ensures a clean floor. Daily cleaning helps you keep ahead of any buildup, but you can vacuum anytime you notice the floor looking dirty.

    • 2). Fill a 3- to 5-gallon bucket with warm water. Add a few drops of mild dish soap and 1 cup of white vinegar.

    • 3). Wipe the laminate tiles clean with the solution and a cotton rag or with a mop. Clean the tiles with this solution weekly to remove any dirt buildup that you cannot remove with regular vacuuming. Older laminate tiles might develop small gaps that could allow water to seep through, so do not allow water to pool on the floor. After you clean the floor, squeeze the water out of your rag or mop and use it to soak up excess water.

    • 4). Cut an X into the top of a tennis ball with a utility knife and slide the tennis ball onto the end of a broomstick. Rub the tennis ball across any scuff marks on the floor that you could not remove when scrubbing the floor with a rag or mop.

    • 5). Wipe up all spills quickly and then spot clean with water and a rag or mop to avoid permanent stains.
