Take the bottles to the landfill or recycling area in your neighborhood, municipality or apartment complex. - 1). Cut the front and bottom sections out of a plastic milk bottle with heavy-duty kitchen shears or knife to make a simple scoop for pet food.
- 2). Cut four segments out of the sides of the milk bottle with a sharp knife. Tie a piece of clothesline rope or rustproof wire to the handle. Hang this recycled bird feeder in a tree. Fill with bird seed.
- 3). Cut shapes from a plastic milk bottle with heavy-duty kitchen shears. Encourage children to paint the shapes with acrylic paint for decorative ornaments or mobile pieces.
- 4). Cut squares from a recycled milk bottle with scissors. Punch a line of holes along all four sides. Crochet the squares together for a tote bag.
- 5). Store compost tea in a reusable plastic milk bottle. Set clean milk bottles out in the rain to catch water for garden plants. Hang a full bottle of rainwater over a hanging plant outdoors. Poke holes in the bottom of the container for a slow leaking effect. This will water a plant during a vacation trip.
