The Bottom Line
The chicks-n-chickens postpartum workout is great for new mommies and not so new mommies. What makes it so great is that you can do it with your baby, while you groove to music and feel like you're hanging out with friends.

Guide Review - chicks-n-chickens Postpartum Workout
The chicks-n-chickens workout is a great workout to do with or without baby. It includes segments for warm up, tummy, legs, arms, back, etc. Each song represented hits a different target area to work out. The cool part is that each mom is carrying their baby in a Kangaroo Korner Adjustable Pouch, and the babies are all different ages. I use a Maya Wrap when I do this workout.
Darcy provides lots of great advice as she helps you do the moves. I love her warm, gentle voice and you can really feel the kindness coming through. She really encourages you to do what you need to do while working out, acknowledging that everyone is at a different place.
This 35 minutes went really quickly while I worked out and held my baby - something that is hard to find in a workout video.
In fact, before I was through the warm up, the fun music had attracted my four younger daughters. The lively moves to the "mommy groove" kept them entertained enough, not only to stay and do the moves, but to beg to watch it again, this time with their dolls strapped to their bodies. Their love of this DVD helps me find the time to workout.
As for my six week old baby - she was fussy when we started, but had calmed quickly. I was busy grooving and doing stretches before I realized she was asleep by the third song. You can watch the babies in the video snuggle with their moms, play with them and yes, even sleep. This is going to be a gift I give to many new moms who are too afraid that exercise means time away from baby.
