Smoking Is Out - Vaping Is In
If you were to Google just about any variation or word combination of the topic €smoking vs. vaping€ you are going to find a ton of negative articles about the use of electronic vapour cigarettes. You are going to read how this form of smoking is just as bad or worse than smoking tobacco. But what is the real truth?
I am not claiming to be a doctor or a scientist or even to know all the answers. I do however, know this. Smoking tobacco is bad for you. It can cause cancer, heart disease, emphysema and any number of other diseases. Smoking tobacco really is a dirty habit. I know because I smoked for over 50 years. My clothes stank, my car stank, my home stank and my breath stank. There was always a dirty, smelly ashtray close by and nowadays, there was always somebody to give me a dirty look whenever I lit up. Even my own kids didn't like me in their homes because of the second hand smoke.
Now I vape. I purchased an electronic vaporizing kit along with nicotine infused e-liquid and I quit smoking instantly without suffering any prolonged cravings. I gradually decreased the amount of nicotine in my juice mixture to zero and haven't looked back. The whole process took about six months. I never felt better. I don't have that dry smokers cough, I don't hack up a sink full of phlegm every morning, I don't smell like a dirty ashtray and I am saving a boat load of money. I have more energy, go for walks and didn't gain any weight during the quitting process.
How can vaping possibly be any worse for you than smoking tobacco? The vaporizing cigarette includes a battery which heats up a liquid to the vaporizing point producing water vapour. No smell or second hand smoke. The liquid consists of a combination of only 5 ingredients or less. These ingredients are:
Compare this to the over 4000 chemicals and carcinogens contained in a tobacco cigarette.
The only explanation that I can think of for all the negative reports and articles on vaping is money. Billions of dollars spent annually on tobacco products by smokers and billions more spent by those wishing to quit smoking on pharmaceutical products like the nicotine patch and nicotine gum.
