    Getting There

    • From International Falls, Minnesota, take Highway 71 to the International Bridge at the Canada- U.S. border. Continue across the bridge onto Church Street in Fort Frances. Turn left onto Mowat Avenue and then right onto Scott Street to Hwy.11E. Turn left onto Hwy. 502N toward Dryden then right onto Hwy. 594E. In Dryden, connect with Hwy. 17W. Look for Hwy.105N and take this route north for 60 miles. Watch for the sign for Goose Bay Camp on Lac Seul. The camp is located four miles south of Ear Falls.

    • For $110 per person per day and two people per boat, a modern cabin, a 17-foot Lund boat equipped with a depth finder and 40 hp four stroke electric start Yamaha motor is available. Gas and minnows are included.

      For three people the same amenities cost $90 per person per day.

      A third option offers a modern cabin, 16-foot boat with 20 or 30 hp Yamaha motor, 5 dozen minnows and six gallons of gas per boat per day for $100.

      All prices quoted are in Canadian funds.

    Other Services

    • Fishing guides are provided for $160 per day for two people. Each additional person per day is an additional $20. Private boat dockage is $20 per day while beached private boats are charged $13 daily.

      For tent and trailer parking a party of two is charged $32 for electricity, water, sewer service and showers.

      All prices are quoted in Canadian funds.

    Luxury on Lac Seul

    • For a more upscale fishing experience, visit Mahkwa Lodge. Follow the directions for Goose Bay Lodge but turn off Highway 17E at the Sioux Lookout turn off on Hwy.72. Turn hard left onto Hwy.664 toward Hudson. Turn right off the T-junction in Hudson and follow the signs for Mahkwa Lodge.

      This lodge offers a full American Plan package with guide. Dinner on arrival and breakfast on departure as well as accommodations and all meals during the stay are provided in the Mahkwa Lodge and Dining Room. Other amenities include daily maid service, shore lunch, a boat with a 50 hp motor, 5 gallons of gas and 3 dozen minnows per day. A guide, fish cleaning and packages are also provided.

      A 7-day package based on every two persons is $1,875 per person and $1,350 per person for the week if no guide is required.
