    • 1). Cut a piece of cardboard 18 inches long by 5 inches wide. Measure 6 inches from each side and fold the cardboard. This will divide the cardboard into three even parts.

    • 2). Draw eye holes in the middle section of the cardboard. They can be large or small, depending on the look you want the glasses to have. Carefully cut the holes open on the middle section. Make sure the cardboard is contiguous around where the eyeholes will be; it is important for the stability of the glasses.

    • 3). Cut pieces of blue and red cellophane to cover the eye holes, with 1/8 inch of excess on the sides.

    • 4). Apply a thin layer of glue around the eye holes, then secure one piece of cellophane to each. NASA recommends red cellophane for the left eye and blue cellophane for the right eye. Hold the cellophane to the cardboard for a few minutes to ensure adhesion.

    • 5). Cut a hole for your glasses to rest on your nose and hooks to wrap around your ears for better fit and comfort.
