If you are looking for freedom from fear firstly, you need to know what fear is.
On the web you will find 'definitions for fear' such as these...
"To be afraid or feel anxious or apprehensive about a possible or probable situation or event".
"An emotion experienced in anticipation of some specific pain or danger (usually accompanied by a desire to flee or fight)" Did you notice that in the definition of fear it is 1.
an emotional response.
2.
an emotional response that is possible, probable or anticipated.
In other words it is an emotional response to something that has not happened and may never will.
This tells us that, in most cases, fear is unfounded! When you consider the amount of people that suffer from fear related issues this becomes a staggering fact.
And I can tell you for a fact that fear is the basis for, or is a catalyst too, nearly ALL negative emotional issues.
And more and more medicos are coming to the conclusion that emotional issues are the catalyst to most physical problems, including serious disease.
Think this through and you can rightly conclude that nearly all emotional problems and physical illness is brought about by something that isn't real; it is nearly all a figment of our fearful imagination! Some may say that I am 'drawing a long bow' but the facts speak for themselves.
I could go into detail explaining this but it would mean we would have to go off on a tangent.
If you are interested I suggest you start doing some research and you will be surprised by what you will find.
What else this tells us is that the response of fear is unique to each individual and his or hers perception of the event or situation and this is why what one person may see as being fearsome while another has no fear at all.
Where does this perception of danger come from? Fear is an emotion embedded into us from the time we lived in caves and competed for survival with other carnivores and rivals.
We hunted, and were hunted and fear kept us alert from attack.
As we have gone through the ages this original fear was replaced with fears that pertained to those times.
The difference is today we haven't got a saber tooth tiger keen to have us for lunch or the Hun invading us, yet the residual feelings of fear are just as strong in us today as they were back then, if not more so.
Being alert from danger keeps us safe back then but in today's society fear is conditioned into us by what is often merely a fabrication of news.
Reporters, politicians and the clergy etc.
discovered long ago that fear can be used to manipulate the masses into doing their bidding and they all exploit it continuously.
You can protect yourself from the influence of 'society fear' by the simple act of turning off the TV, reading only good news stories and refusing to partake in any rumor mongering and innuendo.
I promise you, you will not miss a thing and you will be surprised how fear-less you have become.
