Range of Colors

  Hardy garden mums are available in a wide range of colors, excluding blue. Choose from many shades of pinks, including deep rose to bright, hot pink to light pink. Purples vary from deep burgundy to pale lavender, with in-between colorations. Yellows range from pale to deep and bright, and include apricots, greens, creams and butterscotch. Bronzes from orange to russet are also available. Pure silvery-white mums look beautiful blooming in the evening light.

  Daisy mums have single or double daisy flowers with a green or yellow center. Tracy is a late blooming white, double-daisy form. Allure is a bright yellow mid-season daisy bloomer with a green eye. Flame is a daisy with fiery orange, large daisy flowers blooming midseason. Stargazer and Pink Sonoma have dark lavender daisy flowers. Salsa is a red daisy with a green eye. Red Irvine is a deep purple-red, double daisy, with a bright green eye. "Sunny Shasta" is a creamy yellow with a dull green-to-yellow eye.

  Quilled petals are long, straight and tubular. Yellow Sarah blooms late season with yellow-quilled flowers. Anastasia Green has green-quilled petals. The University of Minnesota has bred chrysanthemums to endure very cold winters, including Mammoth Yellow Quill, yellow with a gold center, Lindy with lavender-pink quilled flowers more than 4 inches across, and Centerpiece with large rosy-lavender quilled petals.
  
  

Pompon Flower Form

  Pompon flower forms include "Patriot," pure white, blooming mid- to --late season. "Barbara" is late-blooming with purple pompon flowers. "Garnet" blooms mid-season with bright red flowers that age to bronze. Bred by the University of Minnesota is Burnt Copper, an orange-bronze double pompon for midseason bloom, Minnrose, a rose-pink pompon formed, early-season flowering, and Snowsota white small pompons with cream centers.
  
  

Decorative Flower Form

• Decoratives have double or semidouble flowers on plants over 1.5 feet tall. Cabernet blooms in late season with lavender flowers. Lynn is lavender with purple centers in a decorative flower form. Tinkerbell is deep purple. Grenadine has coral, decorative form flowers and blooms early in the season. Serenade is a coral-rose colored, early blooming decorative. Radient Lynn is a salmon-pink, two-toned decorative. Bravo is dark red. Linda is a late-season, white decorative. Jessica blooms midseason with long-lasting yellow flowers in decorative form.
