Halloween Costumes Using a Suit
- Buy a mask that resembles a current or ex-president of the United States. Wear a modern suit along with a mask of a modern president. Couple the mask with a suit from the era of the year the president served; for instance, wear a suit from the 1970s along with a Richard Nixon mask, as he was president from 1969 to 1974. Visit a thrift store or garage sales to find vintage suits.
- Create a used car salesman's costume out of a business suit or a polyester suit from the 1970s. Match a suit with a bright colored or patterned shirt. Leave the shirt unbuttoned and wear several gold chains around the neck and a few gold bracelets and rings. Wear a bushy fake mustache and aviator-style sunglasses. Hold a fake cigar and a set of car keys. Slick hair back or wear a toupee. Talk to people about not being undersold.
- Dress like a gangster for Halloween. Wear a dark-colored pin-striped suit as the base of the costume. Wear a bright red or other bright-colored dress shirt along with a long white tie. Add a fedora-style hat and a fake mustache to the costume. Wear black dress shoes with white and black spats. Carry a cigarette and a fake gun, which can be purchased at a costume or toy store.
- Other suit costumes include an Elvis outfit. Wear a bright-colored 1970s style leisure suit with a shiny gold shirt. Wear an Elvis wig and gold chains and sing famous Elvis songs. Turn a suit into a business man costume by simply carrying a briefcase and cell phone. Other suit costumes include a minister, a groom or prom date.
