How to Make Craft Buttons
- 1). Place the fabric right side up and iron it to remove any wrinkles.
- 2). Place the rounded disk portion of the button on top of the fabric scrap and use the marker to draw a circle around the button, keeping your marker approximately 1/2 inch from the edge of the button as you draw the circle.
- 3). Cut out the circle on the marked line.
- 4). Place the bowl shaped button maker on a flat work surface. The button maker is the part of the button form set that is made from flexible plastic and shaped like a little bowl.
- 5). Place the fabric circle wrong side up on top of the button maker. Make sure the fabric is centered over the button maker.
- 6). Insert the rounded disk portion of the button form into the button maker until it snaps into place, sandwiching the fabric circle inside.
- 7). Tuck all raw fabric edges over the back of the button and top with the button back.
- 8). Apply firm pressure to snap the button back into place. Remove the completed button from the button form.
