How to Insert Music in a Microsoft PowerPoint
- 1). Launch PowerPoint and open your presentation. Click through to the slide that you want to use to insert music.
- 2). Click on "Insert" from the main toolbar. From the drop-down menu, click on "Movies and Sounds." Choose "Sound from Clip Organizer" to select a music file from Microsoft's Clip Gallery. Select "Sound from File" to browse for and locate your own music file. These files can include digital music files like MP3s. You may also choose to insert music from a CD by selecting "Play CD Audio Track."
- 3). Choose if you want the music to play when clicked or automatically. If you choose to have the music play when clicked, a sound icon will appear in the slide.
- 4). Click on the sound icon to resize if necessary. Right-click to adjust settings for the music file.
- 5). Preview the music file to make sure it plays correctly.
