How to Convert Picture Slides to a Disk
- 1). Connect the flash drive, disk or other device that will store your digital copies of the photos and slides.
- 2). Power on your slide scanner. Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Accessories." Under Accessories, select "Camera and Scanner." This launches a program specially designed to import content from cameras and scanners.
- 3). Insert the slide into the slide scanner. The computer will try to detect the scanner and launch program options for the scanner. Click "Preview" to see what the scanner will output; this will help you correct images that appear upside-down or flipped.
- 4). Click "Scan" to scan the picture slide. This is going to take a few moments. Once the scan is complete, a "Save" window appears.
- 5). Select your connected disk or flash drive as the save location. Title the slide and click "OK." The picture is now saved to your disk.
