How to Use an LCD Projector With Dell Latitude
- 1). Turn off both the LCD projector and the laptop if they are not already turned off.
- 2). Connect the Dell Latitude laptop and the projector by attaching one end of the VGA cable to each of them. Use the VGA cable connector's thumbscrews to hold the connector tightly in place.
- 3). Turn on the LCD projector, then turn on the laptop. The projector may take up to 20 seconds or longer before it is fully warmed up and ready to project an image, a status which on many projectors is indicated by a "ready" light.
- 4). Right-click on the Desktop of the Dell Latitude, selecting "Graphics Properties..." from the context menu that opens. Choose the "Display Devices" tab in the new window that opens.
- 5). Click the "Intel(R) Dual Display Clone" or "Notebook + Monitor" option in the Display Devices tab to select it. Click "Apply," then click "OK."
- 6). Wait while the laptop recognizes the LCD projector and installs drivers to allow it to be used. You may be prompted to insert the driver disc that came with the projector if the operating system does not have compatible drivers available. Once the drivers have been installed, the projector should begin displaying everything that is shown on the Dell Latitude's screen.
