Booking Cheap Flights From San Francisco to Delhi

It carries the national flag on all its aircraft and has a strong presence in Asian, European and Middle Eastern market. The airline has recently joined the Oneworld alliance that has increased its reach to a number of other countries. Now, travellers can book flights from San Francisco to Delhi, Paris to Amsterdam and a number of destinations by taking the help of the airlines that shares the code with or the fellow members of the alliance.
It commenced business in 1978 under the name Air Lanka and was re-branded in 1998. The carrier has gained a lot of passengers since then, and an upsurge in SriLankan Airlines flight booking has also been observed. Apart from this, the airline assures high safety standard as it holds seven out of seven safety ratings. People can book flights to any of the 89 destinations in around 32 countries catered by the carrier. However, hundreds of other destinations are also added in the list, if the services of associated airlines are also added.
Association with Oneworld
The carrier announced joined hands with one of the largest airline alliance - Oneworld, back in 2013. It is the only carrier from the Indian subcontinent to become a member of this alliance. Now, the opportunity to gain points on loyalty programs initiated by the company has increased significantly as the journey with most of the associated members will be credited in the account of travellers. The program initiated by SriLankan Airlines - Serendib - was abandoned in the beginning of 2000. It later added to the Skywards frequent-flyer program in partnership with Emirates. However, the partnership seized in 2008, followed by FlySmiles - a program initiated by the alliance. A number of new tiers have been added for the benefit of travellers. It has been further divided in four parts.
FlySmiLes
FlySmiles Blue, Classic, Gold and Platinum provide different benefits. The Classic tier is equivalent to Oneworld Ruby, Gold to Sapphire and Platinum to Emerald as far as facilities are considered. Passengers have the opportunity to select from a list of meals, airport services and a number of other facilities if tickets are booked 24 hours before the departure time. If passengers do not have enough points in their cards, they can purchase it with cash. As it has been observed that some services are exclusive to card holders only. Travellers need to spend just a dollar to add 2000 points in the account. However, they can purchase a maximum of 25000 points only.
The miles are non-refundable and can be purchased before 48 hours of ticket booking. They can be used for information and pursuance regarding pre-seating, wait list priority and priority check-in. The excess baggage allowance is not given on the blue tier, but people having silver or gold tier membership get allowance of 12 and 16 kg, respectively. Similarly, access to the airport lounge is not given to the base tier and blue tie members, but rest of them can use it as and when required.
