How to Remove Black Permanent Marker From Walls
- 1). Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to a soft cloth.
- 2). Rub the black permanent marker stain with the cloth. Rub gently, in a circular motion.
- 3). Wipe the rubbing alcohol off the wall with a clean, damp cloth.
- 1). Spray a non-oily hairspray directly onto the black permanent marker. Allow the hairspray to sit for several seconds, but do not allow it to dry onto the wall.
- 2). Blot the wall with a clean, white cloth. Reapply hairspray, if needed. Continue blotting until you have removed the black permanent marker from the wall.
- 3). Rinse the wall clean by gently wiping with a damp cloth.
- 1). Saturate a cotton ball with a non-acetone nail polisher remover.
- 2). Rub the black permanent marker stain with the cotton ball. When the cotton ball becomes stained with the black permanent marker, repeat the process with a clean cotton ball.
- 3). Wipe the wall clean with a cloth dampened with cool water.
- 1). Apply water-displacing spray to a soft cloth.
- 2). Rub the wall where the marker stain is present with the saturated cloth. Continue rubbing--applying more spray if needed--until the black permanent marker is no longer visible.
- 3). Remove the water-displacing spray from the wall by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
