How to Hang Mini Blinds
- 1). Measure 6 inches above the window for an outside mount. Mark this spot with a pencil.
- 2). Measure 3 inches out from either side of the window. Mark these spots with a pencil. Now find the meeting place of these spots and the 6 inches above the window. This is where you will install the brackets.
- 3). If your window is larger than 36 inches, you will have additional installation brackets. Evenly space them between the outside markings.
- 4). Use a level to check that the pencil marks are even before you begin drilling.
- 5). Drill holes in each spot for the installation brackets.
- 6). Hold the installation brackets up to the holes. Insert the screws through the center holes and tighten them.
- 1). Hold the blinds so the outside faces you.
- 2). Slide the head rail into the brackets at an angle.
- 3). Push the head rail into the brackets while straightening so it’s parallel to the wall. You should hear a click when the head rail is in place.
- 4). Remove the protective wrapping.
- 5). Unwind the cords and lower the blinds.
