How to Disable TouchPad in Linux
- 1). Open a command shell and type: "sudo aptitude install qsynaptics" followed by "Enter." This downloads and installs a graphical user interface (GUI) touchpad manager.
- 2). Type "qsynaptics" into the command shell and press "Enter." This launches the Qsynaptics GUI for configuring a number of touchpad options.
- 3). Look for the field that says "Switch Touch Pad..." and click "Off." This disables the touchpad.
